I have recently deployed to Afghanistan for my first time. As a Platoon leader and a medical logistics officer I have never been involved in such a large operation. As of now, we are currently conducting combined action missions in order to facilitate the growth of the Afghan National Army’s medical community. It’s a daunting, but significant task that could ultimately make a large difference in this growing nation.
